Blake's new book, called OUT OF SIGHT LIVING: A Sightless Person With Perfect Vision has recently been released.
It chronicles Blake’s life adventures, which include learning to snow and water ski, ride a bicycle, swim, ride horses and much more…not the least of which includes a 22-year radio career as a successful disc jockey, most recently employed in the Dallas Fort Worth area on KHKS-FM-KISS-FM and worked with the late and world famous Wolfman Jack.
Presently Blake, who is married, works in sales in Dallas for the internationally famous motivational speaker Zig Ziglar and has his own production company Blazin’ Blake Productions, which produces voice image building promos for a variety of radio stations including the Dallas/Ft Worth market.
Blake’s goal in writing his first book is to inspire and encourage parents with sightless children and people with other unique challenges that must be overcome in order to live a happy, handi-capable and fulfilling life. Blake shares that:
“I wrote this book to try and challenge us all to be grateful for the lives we have and for the hardships we endure to make us stronger in our hearts.
”I also want to encourage any parents who have children with disabilities to treat the disabilities as blessings and not as hindrances. It can make all the difference in the world.
“It is my goal to travel around the country and provide motivation and encouragement to others at speaking engagements and book signings.”
Blake has an unusual amount of contagious enthusiasm for life and it shows in everything that he does.
